The ideal candidate for this Maintenance Technician position will have a minimum of one to two years previous experience in community management maintenance or building maintenance or a related trade. This Technician will spend the majority of their time performing hands-on repairs/maintenance work but must have the ability to deal well with people, possess good verbal communication skills, have strong customer service skills and have a valid driver’s license. This candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, demanding environment. We need someone who is dependable, producing timely work to required or higher standards and someone who pitches in to get the job completed. Assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies while adhering to budget guidelines. Working with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure that the physical condition of the community is maintained according to company operating and safety standards. Must be able to diagnose and repair but not limited to major appliances, HVAC, basic plumbing, basic electrical, sheetrock, general carpentry, roofs and gutters and painting.
